i like katei, but stuff like this is why she will NEVER be a true A list actress. professionals live up to their obligations. if what the tabs are saying is true she comitted to this AFTER she planned her divorce. she knew the fallout and interest that would follow. she shouild be using the interrest to give her charity some eyes.

I think your comment is a bit harsh. Most galas are planned months in advance, so he had probably committed to it before the divorce. If she were to show up to the event, people would say that she’s milking the divorce for PR (people have already accused her of that). If she doesn’t show up, then she’s criticized for that too. I guess she’s darned if she doesn’t. She has to do what she feels is right.

That had harsh. We do not knwo the reasons behind the non attendance. Maybe it has been advised by her PR team to avoid wrong assosiations to the charity and prevent backlash, maybe she is feeling really down, maybe she has something unexpected going on….

Plus, I think she is moving forward with her career
Aligning all of these projects in a row, including Broadway. I think Katie is very serious about her work. Other than dropping out of BB sequel, ( which I still dont understand) she has always been a true professional and comitted to her job.
Every costar has praised her for that.

Perhaps if she had attended there would have been to much focus on Katie rather than the charity. So she did not want this to happen.
