I find it so amazing and quite sweet that Bella chooses to hang out with her stepmother, instead of her mother and father. I saw pics of Tom in Germany, promoting Knight and Day with his sisters, and then has gone on to other countries in Europe, but the past few weeks Bella is in Toronto with Katie. She must be a very very nice stepmother, or very good friend to whom she can relate really well. Don’t think a lot of teenagers will hang out with their step parents if they had a choice. I know people she works with always say how sweet and kind she is , but this really proves it , for me anyway.

I also find it very refreshing from both ends, it is very nice to see them hang out so frequently, just the two of them.

“refreshing from both ends” Bilbomet did you mean from Bella to be at a place where she is excepting of Katie and is not taking the typical view of stepchild/stepparent plus what Annie said. If so I agree it takes two but usually the adult takes the lead.

They have also said she is nurturing(Oliver Hudson From Dawson’s Creek said), and recently at the Jcrew photoshoot Adam Brody said she was like the den mother of the group. Charlie Hunnam from Abandon said when you want to relax you go sit next to Katie because she is always so calm. All those traits would be great for a mom(stepmom) and child(stepchild) relationship. One thing I also think she does is be natural, with her looks (not alot of make up)and how she dresses down or doesn’t think to much on it by wearing a already but together outfit. In other words not caring so much about her looks. If you want to teach your children someting you have to do it too. If they always see you as spending time trying to look perfect they well do it too instead of be happy with who they are and what they look like.

That’s what I meant Fel617, it takes two to make it work. Teenagers are not always easy and Bella seems pretty mature, with a good head on her shoulders and v. nice.

Not sure if the Ny Daily News is right to be here but it speaks highly of Katie and lots of postives on Katie from her coworkers. Google NY Daily News ‘Why the marriage that freaked out America out is the best thing that happened to her’.

More and more the world sees how truly beautiful on the outside and inside Katie is.Those who have met her are very very lucky making her a perfect match for Tom who I also feel is so beautiful on the inside.

Your discussions are relatable on the NY Daily News article because directors say Katie is not vain an actress at all and among the few actress they say that spends little time on the makeup chair.

I saw that article too, and was surprised at how complimentary it was , considering the media likes to pick out all the negatives about the Cruise family.
Personally, I like the diversity of movies , tv ,theatre, it’s great that she can go into any of these. Peolple can only bag you for so long , before it starts becoming stale boring and repeatative.
What I find irritating with the media sometimes is, how they go on about the 2inch difference in their height (which that article touched on) like the difference is 2ft, or something, for goodness sake.
And no , I don’t think Katie is vain either, but for me , just sometimes, she should step up the ego and vanity just a tinsy winsy bit, I think you need some when you are in the public eye , but that is my only complaint.
