I can’t believe Tom gave up Katie for that cult. I believe she truly loved him, at least in the beginning. Did he ever care for her? Was it all for show? Funny they are divorcing exactly as the gossip predicted, after five years.

I think they loved each other in the past…but sometimes the love end..unlucky…and I don’t believe in this gossip about the “contract”…

No divorce settlement is that fast unless there are two things: 1. a strong need for it to be fast and 2. previous agreement on property and money were already in place.

And that katie no longer is a scientologist. Plus katie returned to chatolism and has joined a church in NY. But i believe they did love each other, but tom is to influenced by david miscavige.! we don’t know exactly if the divorce was about religion or other things. the only thing we really know is that Katie and Tom have divorced. All the rest are only speculation, and here we prefer don’t do this. so, please, make more easy my job and leave only polite comment, about Katie or Tom. I don’t like to delete comment..

Happy that they managed to do this rapidly and clean. All the tabloids where waiting for this to be a long, nasty battle, screw them! They live off of peoples miseries.

That being said, I do believe Katie adored him and I do believe religion played a big role in the divorce. I consider Tom a good person, as I think Katie still does, but from a very respectful and humble point of view, I have the feeling he is NO longer able to be fully objetive when it comes to his religion. It seems to me as he will never wake up from that influence. (Hope this does not hurt anyone´s feelings, it is just my two cents, I believe from a respectful approach)

I love all the one sided judgement being passed around here – as if Kate didn’t know who she got pregnant by and who she married. None of you have a clue and its obvious being respectful to both is just not on the agenda. I find that shameful considering how our site is handling things.

I am glad it did not get dragged thru the media (mud) because no matter how much or little is said the media always puts their spin on it. Maybe Katie should go talk to Oprah. I think Katie should get an award for being one of the nicest people on the planet she has and seems never well say anything bad about anyone.

I am talking on a personal base here. Of course we do not know anything, and we are just giving our two cents.
I refuse to be taken as a bully or as another internet basher. It is not the case. If have passed a judgment unintentionally, I am sorry but I am trying to be respectful at all times. Not offending anyone. All I said is that there is a downside to being so involved with something, anything in life this is not particular to Tom (as it may be the work to some people, religion to others, whatever. It has happened to ME in my career).

Our opinion can be easily be granted with no credit from you because you know and we don’t. From a very humble point of you, you might know both sides to the story, but probably coming from the same source. Katie´s FULL reasons and views on this are probably just known by her family. My point is, on a different level we are all biased based on the information we have (and don’t have as it may be) and our relation (or lack of) to the affected ones. That is to say, we are just Katie fans and you know them both through people close to HIM. Your view, with much more weight than ours for having a fuller picture, is probably not the same view that people close to Katie have. That is my point. Angela, I think you do a GREAT job at forever and keeping things civil but there is no need to push every Katie fan for speaking their mind on a proper manner.

I agree with you about Tom being harshly criticized, and I do NOT agree with that, at any case. He is a reputable actor and seems like a good, family guy. He is still Suris Father and was married to Katie. For that I am trying to measure what I say and what I don’t say. But on the good things about him that I expressed, I am ALSO guessing, since I do NOT know him. I agree there is a line between what’s correct and what’s not, but you should not take other people´s views so personally if they are within the line of respect. You said Katie knew who she married and got pregnant by, with less info than yourself, I think she did, but she probably had no FULL visibility to what certain aspects of her life would be with him. I could give you many examples on Katie believing on this relationship and taking strong decisions for him without knowing her, just by purely observing, so I would not blame anyone for trying to change something that no longer works or something that was not as expected.

First of all Bilbo, you’ve totally misunderstood what I had to say. My point is that this site and FOREVER are supposed to be PARTNERS. Because of that, we have made sure not a single word was said to offend Katie fans. Why? Because her fans have been posting on our board and have become friend. Also she’s Suri’s mother. However, here, Tom fans and Tom are NOT given the same respect. That’s offensive.

You are absolutely entitled to your opinions, even tho you dont know both sides of the story – or any of the story for that matter, BUT all along, my point was that while we’re being respectful of Kate fans at FOREVER, no one is respecting us here and doesnt give a crap if we’re offended.

You havent been offensive, but others have been with talk of contracts (seriously?? If that were true, it would mean Kate signed it which doesnt reflect well on her either.). These are adult who have handled their issues by divorcing. The least the Kate fans here can do is be as respectful and polite to Tom fans as we have been to you, especially when none of you have a clue what the real problems were.

Angela said who she married that part I found to be jugemental because you can be with someone a long time and when you get married personality triats come out that were not preasent before. I lived with my husband a year before we got married and after we did the possessive trait came out and before I knew it I had lost my friends(unless he liked them) and he was starting to say things about my family. I am not saying this is what happened but it could have and you and others that know the couple would not know of this trait. It is only shown to the spouse.

I just read the Elle article and posted this comment on that: Love this article and I got to say I think she still loves Tom and I see this article as saying things about her growing from her life experiences and not growing from Tom.
It made me sad about all the blame going on and wonder what happened, why dis she file like she did, and maybe there is hope for them because things were handled so caringly, I kow I am probably in the minority on that. They seem to love each other is why I say this,

guys, in this particular moment of my life I’ve some BIG problem with my family ( my aunt is dying at only 52..she has a cancer with cerebral metastases ) and my attention is only for her now.

Angela, I can understand your point of view, and I can confirm that on this site, as I previously wrote on main page, we don’t allow negative comments about Tom.

I don’t trust in what the magazines are writing about Tom, and so is for the most of Katie’s fans here at KHD.

No one of us here know what is happening, and the better way is to talk. If some fan thought the story about the “contract” was real, here we are ready to explain the truth.

Please, don’t say “None of you have a clue and its obvious being respectful to both is just not on the agenda ” as all of us has wrote something “not-so-polite” about Tom. Most of Katie’s fans are very polite people, as for Tom’s fans at forever.

Personally I do not intend to be unpolite towards anyone. It is just not who I am. I do not believe gossip, I just tend to make an opinion out of everything, which can be right or wrong, but it is my right to be either way as long as I am respectful.

I love this site and really apreciate the forum as much as their Staff. Angela is doing an amazing job, she is great BUT she puts too much pasion on to this. She seems more Southern European than myself LOL.
