Dizzy Feet Foundation was founded in 2009 by Nigel Lythgoe, director Adam Shankman, “Dancing with the Stars” judge Carrie Ann Inaba and actress Katie Holmes, Dizzy Feet Foundation helps to support, improve, and increase access to dance education in the United States.
While previous reports had said that Katie Holmes is set to appear on “So You Think You Can Dance” is an American dance reality show and competition that airs on Fox in the United States. Katie will be appearing on the 100th episode of the show on 23rd of July.
The appearance fees charged by Katie Holmes will be donated to the Dizzy Feet Foundation which is associated with.
Stated below are Dizzy Feet Foundation’s mission :
a) To provide scholarships and grants to talented dancers, choreographers and teachers; working at or through accredited dance studios;
b) To establish national standards for dance education and an accreditation program for dance;
c) To develop, provide, and support dance education programs for disadvantaged children by working through and with community organizations
Dizzy Feet Foundation offers scholarships to dance students through its Scholarship Program. Scholarships ranging from $1,500 to $7,500 will be granted annually. The foundation also aims to increase and standardize the quality of dance instruction throughout the United States by offering accreditation and/ or certification to dance schools and studios in most styles of dance, which includes ballroom, hip-hop, contemporary, tap, ballet and jazz.
Dizzy Feet Foundation’s Accreditation Program will be known as the American gold standard of dance instruction and will ensure that students know that they are receiving high quality dance instruction based on a national standard.
