Katie Holmes landed at LAX yesterday with her business partner, Jeanne Yang, by her side. Jeanne started working with Katie as a stylist many years ago, and in 2008 the duo then teamed up to launch their aptly named fashion line, Holmes & Yang. Katie and Jeanne showed the latest Holmes & Yang collection during NYFW for intimate groups of editors but had to delay the presentations, as last month’s big blizzard blanketed the city.
A few weeks before New York Fashion Week, we didn’t know if Katie Holmes would debut a new collection from her Holmes & Yang label and now we know why: it seems the actress decided to show her new 15-piece line off the runway and instead, in a room at the Palace Hotel. “Holmes greeted editors with a silver tray of muffins that she procured herself that morning from Foragers. She offered coffee, made tea upon request, and invited everyone to take off their shoes if they liked — she already had,” WWD wrote.

Despite initial reports that Katie Holmes would be foregoing New York Fashion Week this season, it has been confirmed that her brand Holmes & Yang will show its autumn/winter 13 collection in the form of an intimate presentation.
The rumours arose when the designer was noticeably absent from the initial New York Fashion Week show schedule, released earlier this month.
However, a representative for Holmes & Yang has confirmed that the brand, designed by the actress and her stylist Jeanne Yang, will show their latest collection to an intimate group of press and buyers, via appointment.
Katie Holmes has fuelled speculation that her label, Holmes & Yang, will not show at New York Fashion Week next month, after the brand was absent from the capital’s newly-released preliminary calendar. The actress designs the line with her stylist, Jeanne Yang.
The label made its NYFW debut last season with a presentation. The tightly-edited collection, comprising only 14 looks, focused on “evergreen styles” that explored “the juxtaposition between menswear-inspired silhouettes and feminine fabrications”, as the show notes read.
